Amazon Prime Video‘s “Barbershop” TV series has added eight new actors in guest star roles, Variety has learned. The new additions are: Zack Fox (“Abbott Elementary,” “The Vince Staples Show”) as Alderman Warren; Ego Nwodim (“Saturday Night Live,” “Poker Face”) as Shelly-Ann; Diallo Riddle (“South Side,” “Sherman’s Showcase”) as Pastor Devante; Ziwe (“Ziwe,” “Dickinson”) as Abbi; Tituss Burgess (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “Schmigadoon”) as Juan Grillz; Comedian CP (“Sunday After Six,” “How to Die Alone”) as Marvin; Devon Walker (“Saturday Night Live,” “Big Mouth”) as Southside Swole; and Belmont Cameli (“Saved by the Bell,” “Alto Knights”) as Shep.

Tieto nové posily doplnia už existujúci tím talentovaných umelcov. The new additions will appear alongside series regulars Jermaine Fowler, Brett Gray, Punkie Johnson, Roy Wood Jr., and E.J. Bonilla. Recurring cast members include Bokeem Woodbine, Bresha Webb, Langston Kerman, and Tiana Okoye.

Per the official logline, the show follows Travis “Trav” Porter (Fowler), “who endeavors to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, a legendary barber at the iconic Calvin’s barbershop in Chicago.

Za týmto projektom stojí silný tím profesionálov. Marshall Todd, who co-wrote the original film, is writing the series, executive producing, and co-showrunning. Max Searle will also executive produce and serve as co-showrunner. Kevin Hart, Bryan Smiley, and Mike Stein executive produce via Hartbeat along with Bradley Gardner of Busy B Entertainment as well as Cameron Burnett and Autumn Bailey-Ford for Prominent Productions and George Tillman Jr. and Robert Teitel for State Street Pictures. Tiffany Brown will co-executive produce for Hartbeat.
